Modal Verbs: Must, May, Should and have to.
In the realm of verbs that guide our way,
Modal verbs shine with words to convey.
Must, May, Should, and Have to, they say,
In poetic verse, let’s make them sway.
Must, a command with no room for doubt,
A mandate strong, we must carry out.
With resolute will, we forge ahead,
In the path of duty, we’re firmly led.
May, a whisper of chance in the breeze,
A door to possibilities, it does appease.
In dreams, we find a world unexplored,
With may as our guide, we’re never bored.
Should, the moral compass in our hearts,
Guiding our choices, as conscience imparts.
A gentle nudge, a wise suggestion,
To do what’s right, with no exception.
Have to, the duty that we can’t ignore,
An obligation we can’t help but explore.
With tasks at hand, we take the lead,
For ‘have to’ urges us to succeed.
These modal verbs, a language’s treasure,
Guide our thoughts and bring us pleasure.
In life’s grand poem, they play their part,
Shaping our journey, from the very start.
