The future lies ahead, unknown,
A vast expanse of possibilities shown.
Simple future tense helps us to see,
What will come to be, what might yet be.
With “will” and the base form of the verb,
We can speak of what’s yet to occur.
“I will go” or “they will dance,”
Simple future tense gives our hopes a chance.
And with “shall,” we can ask and suggest,
For a future that we hope is the best.
“Shall we dance?” or “shall we go?”
Simple future tense lets us give it a go.
So let us embrace the simple future tense,
For it opens doors to what may commence.
We can dream and plan, and with time unfold,
A future bright and bold, yet to be told.
