A conquista europeia trouxe impactos devastadores para as sociedades amer\u00edndias, alterando radicalmente suas formas de vida, suas culturas e seus territ\u00f3rios. As expedi\u00e7\u00f5es conquistadoras, lideradas por figuras como Crist\u00f3v\u00e3o Colombo, Hern\u00e1n Cort\u00e9s e Francisco Pizarro, usaram for\u00e7a bruta para subjugar as civiliza\u00e7\u00f5es ind\u00edgenas. A superioridade tecnol\u00f3gica dos europeus, que possu\u00edam armas de fogo, cavalos e armaduras de metal, contrastava com as ferramentas de guerra mais rudimentares dos povos ind\u00edgenas, como lan\u00e7as e flechas. Acesso em 23 de ago. de 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-5e095c5201b5334bdc6467eb1b9e5d72\">Outro impacto significativo foi a introdu\u00e7\u00e3o de doen\u00e7as como a var\u00edola, o sarampo e a gripe, contra as quais as popula\u00e7\u00f5es ind\u00edgenas n\u00e3o tinham imunidade. Essas doen\u00e7as se espalharam rapidamente, causando uma mortalidade em massa. Estima-se que em algumas regi\u00f5es, at\u00e9 90% da popula\u00e7\u00e3o ind\u00edgena tenha sido dizimada por essas enfermidades em poucas d\u00e9cadas ap\u00f3s o contato com os europeus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-400812b6c3dcbc1df16f1a7077060a79\">Al\u00e9m disso, a conquista europeia levou \u00e0 destrui\u00e7\u00e3o de muitas culturas ind\u00edgenas. Os colonizadores impuseram suas l\u00ednguas, religi\u00f5es e costumes, muitas vezes \u00e0 for\u00e7a, desestruturando as sociedades amer\u00edndias. As pr\u00e1ticas religiosas nativas foram proibidas, e os europeus introduziram o cristianismo como parte de um processo de catequiza\u00e7\u00e3o e assimila\u00e7\u00e3o cultural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-0dafaa5f1597526632c85e8da05d2b49\"><strong>A resist\u00eancia ind\u00edgena<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-bb107835821f1ffa752c0e9694657791\">Apesar dos imensos desafios, as popula\u00e7\u00f5es ind\u00edgenas n\u00e3o aceitaram passivamente a conquista. Houve in\u00fameras formas de resist\u00eancia, tanto armada quanto cultural. Um exemplo de resist\u00eancia armada foi a revolta liderada por T\u00fapac Amaru II no s\u00e9culo XVIII, no Peru, que tentou restaurar o Imp\u00e9rio Inca e resistir ao dom\u00ednio espanhol.
