Esse processo mant\u00e9m a temperatura m\u00e9dia da Terra em torno de 15\u00b0C, permitindo a exist\u00eancia de \u00e1gua em estado l\u00edquido e, consequentemente, a vida como a conhecemos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-676389830ed64fb2e83c2179a8ec4950\">Os principais gases de efeito estufa incluem o di\u00f3xido de carbono (CO\u2082), o metano (CH\u2084), o \u00f3xido nitroso (N\u2082O) e o vapor d&#8217;\u00e1gua (H\u2082O). Esses gases atuam como uma camada isolante, absorvendo e reemitindo a radia\u00e7\u00e3o infravermelha, o que aquece a atmosfera terrestre. Sem o efeito estufa, a temperatura m\u00e9dia da Terra seria cerca de -18\u00b0C, tornando o planeta in\u00f3spito para a maioria das formas de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-b8c51b26e694a03acdae45cea62638fe\">No entanto, atividades humanas, como a queima de combust\u00edveis f\u00f3sseis, o desmatamento e a agricultura intensiva, t\u00eam aumentado significativamente as concentra\u00e7\u00f5es desses gases na atmosfera. Esse aumento intensifica o efeito estufa, resultando em um aquecimento global an\u00f4malo. As consequ\u00eancias desse aquecimento s\u00e3o amplas e incluem mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas, derretimento de geleiras e calotas polares, aumento do n\u00edvel do mar, altera\u00e7\u00f5es nos padr\u00f5es de precipita\u00e7\u00e3o e eventos clim\u00e1ticos extremos, como furac\u00f5es, secas e inunda\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-ca98f9963cc2c6075c3abe8bb4549dcc\">O di\u00f3xido de carbono \u00e9 o g\u00e1s de efeito estufa mais associado \u00e0s atividades humanas, principalmente pela combust\u00e3o de carv\u00e3o, petr\u00f3leo e g\u00e1s natural. O metano, embora presente em menor quantidade, \u00e9 mais eficiente na reten\u00e7\u00e3o de calor, sendo liberado principalmente pela pecu\u00e1ria, decomposi\u00e7\u00e3o de res\u00edduos org\u00e2nicos e extra\u00e7\u00e3o de combust\u00edveis f\u00f3sseis. O \u00f3xido nitroso \u00e9 emitido por pr\u00e1ticas agr\u00edcolas, especialmente pelo uso de fertilizantes nitrogenados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-44a9ecf92353dcd2fa4163bf3e404f9e\">Para mitigar os impactos do aquecimento global, \u00e9 essencial reduzir as emiss\u00f5es de gases de efeito estufa. Isso pode ser alcan\u00e7ado atrav\u00e9s da transi\u00e7\u00e3o para fontes de energia renov\u00e1veis, como a solar e a e\u00f3lica, aumento da efici\u00eancia energ\u00e9tica, reflorestamento e ado\u00e7\u00e3o de pr\u00e1ticas agr\u00edcolas sustent\u00e1veis. S\u00f3 no final do s\u00e9culo 19 come\u00e7am a aumentar as emiss\u00f5es por petr\u00f3leo e g\u00e1s natural.
