No entanto, considerando a extensa rede hidrogr\u00e1fica que ele tem para a navega\u00e7\u00e3o, a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos rios em nosso pa\u00eds como hidrovia \u00e9 limitada. Rio de Janeiro, 2016. p. 143<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Al\u00e9m da gera\u00e7\u00e3o de energia el\u00e9trica, a hidrografia estabelece outro tipo de rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre sociedade e natureza: ela \u00e9 considerada \u201cestrada aqu\u00e1tica\u201d, ou seja, hidrovia. Nessa \u201cestrada\u201d, podem navegar desde pequenos barcos at\u00e9 grandes embarca\u00e7\u00f5es, dependendo da largura do leito do rio. Em geral, as hidrovias est\u00e3o localizadas em rios de plan\u00edcie, nos quais o relevo favorece o deslocamento das embarca\u00e7\u00f5es.
