<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Queen Elizabeth II, originally born as Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary on April 21, 1926, in London to Prince Albert, Duke of York (later known as King George VI), and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, had her early education conducted at home by tutors. These educational lessons encompassed subjects such as French, mathematics, history, as well as various artistic pursuits like dance, singing, and art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As World War II broke out in 1939, Elizabeth and her sister were relocated to Windsor Castle and largely stayed away from London. It was during this period that Elizabeth delivered her famous radio broadcast in 1940, where she reassured evacuated British children that God would care for them and bring victory and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elizabeth gradually began taking on public duties, inspecting troops in 1942 as the colonel-in-chief of the Grenadier Guards, appointed by her father. She also accompanied her parents on official visits within Britain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When her uncle, King Edward VIII, abdicated the throne in 1936 to marry Wallis Simpson, Elizabeth’s father became King George VI, and her mother became Queen Elizabeth. Upon her father’s death in 1952, Elizabeth ascended to the throne as Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation took place on June 2, 1953, at Westminster Abbey when she was 25 years old. She assumed her role as the ruling monarch on February 6, 1952, after her father’s passing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1947, Elizabeth married Philip Mountbatten at Westminster Abbey. They had four children: Charles (born in 1948), Anne (born in 1950), Andrew (born in 1960), and Edward (born in 1964).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1969, she officially designated Charles as her successor, granting him the title of Prince of Wales. Charles later married Diana Spencer in 1981.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout her reign, Queen Elizabeth II worked with 15 prime ministers, holding confidential weekly meetings with them. She also had encounters with numerous U.S. presidents, including a state visit with Joe Biden in June 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012, Queen Elizabeth celebrated her Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years on the throne. A special BBC concert featured renowned artists, and her family, including husband Philip, son Charles, and grandsons Harry and William, joined her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She became Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, surpassing Queen Victoria, on September 9, 2015. In 2017, she celebrated her Sapphire Jubilee, marking 65 years on the throne. In 2022, she reached the unprecedented milestone of a platinum jubilee, commemorating 70 years as queen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queen Elizabeth II passed away peacefully at her Balmoral estate on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
