Que horas voc\u00ea vai dormir? Que horas \u00e9 o seu almo\u00e7o? Trabalho, lazer, refei\u00e7\u00f5es, sono, temos hora marcada para qualquer atividade do dia a dia. Como voc\u00ea conta o tempo? Quais os instrumentos que voc\u00ea usa para isso? Marcar o tempo \u00e9 uma necessidade humana que se faz cada vez mais presente em nossa vida. Por isso mesmo, os instrumentos para medir e contar o tempo se multiplicaram. Para saber as horas usamos celulares, tablets, computadores e v\u00e1rios formatos de rel\u00f3gios que funcionam \u00e0 base de microchips, baterias e cristais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O rel\u00f3gio tornou-se o principal instrumento para ordenar os epis\u00f3dios de um dia. Mas, ao longo da hist\u00f3ria, temos exemplos de sociedades agr\u00edcolas em que era o ciclo anual de planta\u00e7\u00e3o, colheita e armazenamento de alimentos que regia a divis\u00e3o do tempo; para outras, as esta\u00e7\u00f5es do ano \u00e9 que mediam o tempo; outras usavam o sol: sol nascente, sol do meio dia, p\u00f4r do sol, noite. A forma como cada sociedade marca o tempo tem a ver com o seu modo de vida predominante. Numa sociedade urbana e industrializada como a nossa, a tend\u00eancia \u00e9 ter uma marca\u00e7\u00e3o do tempo com instrumentos mais precisos. Em sociedades agr\u00edcolas, a tend\u00eancia \u00e9 um ordenamento menos r\u00edgido das horas do dia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A necessidade de contar o tempo surgiu ainda na pr\u00e9-hist\u00f3ria para atender a quest\u00f5es b\u00e1sicas de sobreviv\u00eancia como a ca\u00e7a, por exemplo. Contar o tempo permitiu coordenar melhor as a\u00e7\u00f5es e aperfei\u00e7oar a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o entre os indiv\u00edduos. A sombra gerada pela posi\u00e7\u00e3o do sol foi a primeira forma de identificar per\u00edodos do dia. De l\u00e1 para c\u00e1, al\u00e9m dos rel\u00f3gios de sol, surgiram rel\u00f3gios usando para contar o tempo \u00e1gua (clepsidra), areia (ampulheta), vela, p\u00eandulo at\u00e9 chegarmos ao rel\u00f3gio at\u00f4mico, criado no s\u00e9culo XX, que usa o \u00e1tomo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O calend\u00e1rio \u00e9 outro instrumento usado para contar o tempo, servindo para marcar per\u00edodos de tempo maiores como dia, semana, m\u00eas e ano.
